With stock tire size, already you're looking at a 3.08 rear end ratio just to make up for the loss of the 700R4's. The transmission ratios in a 700R4 are different than a Turbo350, not to mention you lost a 4th gear when doing the swap. This adjustment can allow you to set the speed correctly without a gear change.If you're looking to keep your speedometer the same, you will have to jumble tire size and gear ratio together to maintain stock calibration.
